Do you find yourself turning the television up constantly? Do you have trouble hearing quiet parts of movies and TV shows, even when your friends and family are complaining about how loud it is? TV Ears can help.

TV Ears are wireless headphones that work along with a base unit attached to your television to deliver movie theater-quality sound directly to your ears. TV Ears assistive listening devices, available at Fynes Audiology for our Mesa and Phoenix area patients, allow you to listen to the television at a comfortable volume without disturbing people nearby. The wearer has complete control over volume and tone, so you can have complete control over your listening experience.

TV Ears can be Used for Movies, Worship, and More!

A federal ADA law requires that many public places offer wireless signals for those with hearing loss. This means that you can take your TV Ears headset to the movies, church, museums, and other public places and eliminate confusion and frustration over not being able to hear.

Features:

• Television Audio Processing (TAP): TAP is a feature unique to TV Ears. To enhance the listening experience for those with hearing loss, TAP processes that audio from your TV or other input device and amplifies regular conversation, hard-to-hear-voices, and whispers, enhancing your viewing experience.
• Automatic Volume Control (AVC): selectively compresses particularly large upswings in volume that can be annoying and even painful while channel surfing or during commercials.
• Infrared Technology: The infrared technology upon which TV Ears are built avoids the interference and drifting common to 900 MHz radio frequency devices, while providing safe and superb sound quality.

HATIS Assistive Communications Technology

ALDs only facilitate one-way communication; they allow the used to hear better, but do not facilitate outward communication. Producer

During their extensive research, the R&D team found that in-the-ear hearing aid users were unhappy with the audibility of the T-coil assistive listening devices. Wearers were not only unhappy with the sound quality, but also dissatisfied with the weight of the boom mikes, when worn for full days at a time.

HATIS rectified this problem with the Producer, a battery-free, hands-free set designed to give maximum clarity and volume to ITE device wearers while still offering feather-light weight.

Plantronics M12 Telephone Adaptor

The Plantronics M12 Vista Universal Amplifier connects headsets to just about any modular single- or multi-line phone, and offers ergonomically designed volume, headset/handset and muting controls. The M12 adapter can be used with any of the HATIS Assistive Communicative Technologies.
